Bookkeeping Recipe
The Bookkeeping Recipe uses an analogy of a recipe to explain bookkeeping. This course Bean Counter's Bookkeeping Recipe is composed of  Dave and Betty's animated video explanations with a brief description of the topic. Although still beneficial, the days of learning reading text are fading out. I "cherry picked" some of my most recent and what I consider some of my best newer videos. This course also differs in that it uses a top down approach. We start with the big picture the complete recipe and then dive down to the individual ingredients that compose bookkeeping and ending with the completed recipe, the financial statements and reports.

Topics covered include:
  • Rules
  • Double Entry
  • Cash-Accrual
  • Chart Of Accounts-Accounts
  • Accounting Equations
  • Debits and Credits
  • Source Documents
  • Transactions
  • Special Journals
  • General Ledger and Subledgers
  • Trial Balances
  • Adjusting Entries
  • Financial Statements
